He goes to Cratará, in the heart of the northwest desert, where he'll become the leader of a pack of ruthless bandits, fulfilling the legacy of his biological father - a mythical cangaceiro.

Ubaldo's gang is surprised by Ameaço and his followers, leading to a shootout that kills men on both sides. Gastão's fanatics set out to destroy the brotherhood and burned down the building with Ernesto in it. A new and holy Ubaldo rises from the ashes of this tragedy, a full-blooded cancageiro capable of murder.
The gang prepares for the next heist. Ubaldo is reunited with a childhood friend, Leinneane, whose husband is running for mayor. Tensions rise between the bandits when a robbery nearly costs them their lives. Ubaldo rebels against the gang's incompetence and wins a fight against Ameaço. If they want to make real money now, they'll have to do it their way: no deaths.
Ubaldo and Dinorah rob only half a bank to support Paulino Leite's campaign. To save his son from a life of crime, Ernesto blows up Ubaldo's warehouses, destroying his weapons in the process. Ubaldo and Leinneane suspect Gastão, and the aspiring first lady uses her own campaign money to finance the robbery that will bring her political victory.
With Jeremías injured, the gang improvises an escape and seeks refuge in a farmer's house. Dinorah fights off one of the bandits after he attacks the farmer's teenage daughter. To save Dinorah's life, Sabiá sends her to help Ubaldo fulfill her promise, after which she can exact her revenge. Ubaldo will have to fight his own sister if he wants to survive.
