Samantar is a story about a young man Kumar Mahajan, whose life changes after he goes on journey to find, Sudarshan Chakrapani, a man who shares the same destiny with him. The life that Kumar is living is the life that Chakrapani has already lived. Will Kumar be able to control his present or change his future after meeting Chakrapani?

Swami denies telling him his future. He speaks about Sudarshan Chakrapani, who was also denied being told of his future. After a series of unfortunate events, Kumar decides to look for Sudarshan Chakrapani who also has lived the same life.
A lady hires Kumar’s cab and they start a conversation during their journey. The unknown lady talks to Kumar about her husband. While Kumar listens to her carefully, he can’t help but compare the incidents that the woman shared to the strangely similar incidents mentioned in the diary. Kumar wonders if this woman is Chakrapani’s wife. After the strange encounter with the woman, Kumar thinks that this could be his only chance to prove that his life is different than that of Chakrapani.
Kumar and Sudarshan talk about their past, realizing that all the dots connect. Kumar asks Sudarshan to tell him about his future. Sudarshan agrees to handover a set of diaries to warn him about his future, only with certain conditions.
